The Mostacillas de Fe Story....a Match Truly Made in Heaven!
In 2012, Art 2 Heart had the privilege of working with Peruvian Partners in Flores de Villa, Peru, helping start an artist cooperative for 13 women. These talented artists -- who call themselves the Mostacillas de Fe -- meaning "Beads of Faith" -- joyfully meet together to make lovely handcrafted products, such as the beautifully detailed llama below, that are sold at the Art 2 Heart Gift Shop. The women are paid generously & immediately for their beautiful work. Through this self-sustaining business, these accomplished women are finding dignity and hope on the front lines of poverty -- and Art 2 Heart is so proud and honored to have helped them begin!
